The treatment process

An immunological concept—optimized individually for each patient

Cancer and the immune system are subject to dynamic processes that must be taken into account during treatment. For this reason, IOZK immunotherapy is tailored to each individual patient. Thanks to its good tolerability, it can be administered entirely on an outpatient basis.

IOZK immunotherapy can be coordinated with other therapies such as surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy as needed. Unlike chemotherapy or radiation, which follow a fixed schedule and regimen, IOZK immunotherapy is tailored to the individual needs of the patient. It is continuously adapted to possible changes in the tumor and the immune system over the course of treatment.
Cancer is a chronic disease and may recur even after successful treatment. It is therefore advisable to monitor the success of immunotherapy at certain intervals.

The exact procedure and duration of IOZK immunotherapy vary greatly because they depend on the type and progression of the tumor disease as well as the patient's individual immunological response. The first step on the path to your individual immunotherapy is the initial consultation.

initial consultation

The initial consultation at the IOZK serves to gather the patient's medical history, review all findings, and discuss both conventional and possible immunological treatment options. This is followed by a blood test to examine the immune system and tumor activity, with results available after about two weeks.

Development of the treatment strategy

The team of experts meets for an internal tumor conference to discuss the results, taking into account the patient's medical history, and develops an individualized treatment strategy. This combines selected modules of IOZK immunotherapy.

Joint therapy planning

The recommendations of the tumor conference are then discussed with the patient. Individual treatment is planned taking into account the patient's wishes.
