Innovative cancer treatment in the heart of Cologne
The IOZK is a treatment center with its own laboratories in the center of Cologne. In addition to examination and treatment rooms, the 2,300 square meter facility also houses conference rooms, administrative offices, and modern laboratories.

Around 60 specialized employees treat approximately 350 new patients from Europe, Asia, Africa, America, and the Middle East every year. The team of doctors has many years of experience with immuno-oncology therapy, and the leading scientists have been researching and publishing in this field for decades.
The IOZK's equipment also meets the highest standards, with five systems for locoregional hyperthermia, one system for transurethral hyperthermia, and two devices for whole-body hyperthermia.
The IOZK laboratories
The IOZK has a diagnostic laboratory for research and specialized immunological diagnostics. It also has its own state-of-the-art manufacturing laboratory (GMP) for the production of the patient-specific vaccine IO-VAC®. The qualified and specialized team works in accordance with the provisions of the German Medicines Act and the European GMP guidelines (Good Manufacturing Practice). The IOZK is the only laboratory in Europe that has received approval to produce an individual vaccine for combating cancer from dendritic cells using oncolytic viruses and patient-specific tumor antigens.
