The IOZK's vision: To translate immunooncological research findings into practice in a timely manner
Prof. (Syria) Dr. med. Samer Akel was appointed associate professor of internal hematology and oncology at Tishreen University in Syria in 2021.
He is recognized in Germany as a board-certified specialist in internal medicine with a focus on hematology and oncology, and holds an additional certification in palliative care. In 2001, he received a postgraduate diploma with honors from Tishreen University. In 2009, he earned his Ph.D. from Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen. He has successfully completed the ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) certification process, which is repeatedly rigorous.
He is a member of several professional associations:
