Presentation of the UNESCO-L'Oréal "Women in Science" Prize
The prize for Medicine and Immunology is awarded to Prof. Kayo Inaba, Professor at the Graduate School of Biostudies at Kyoto University in Japan. She specializes in the research of dendritic cells. She was the first scientist to prove that these cells can be treated outside the body and reintroduced into the organism to trigger an immune system response.
