The prestigious prize is awarded under the patronage of Karl-Josef Laumann, Minister of Health of North Rhine-Westphalia, for outstanding and progressive patient care.
It honors clinics, doctors in private practice, scientists from the field of research and healthcare companies that have made a particular contribution to innovation, transparency and quality in medicine. The IOZK was awarded second prize in the "Oncology" category.

The award ceremony took place on November 17, 2020 as part of a scientific symposium.
