El IOZK es un centro traslacional y desarrolla procedimientos inmuno-oncológicos sobre la base de nuevos descubrimientos científicos.
Éstos se combinan de la mejor manera posible para cada paciente. Por este motivo, en el IOZK no se realizan ensayos clínicos aleatorios. Éstos requieren el mismo protocolo de tratamiento para todos los pacientes del grupo experimental y un grupo de comparación que no recibe ningún tratamiento. En la comunidad científica se están desarrollando y debatiendo nuevos métodos de investigación más adecuados para investigar la eficacia de una terapia altamente individualizada. Para nosotros es muy importante contribuir al progreso científico y al desarrollo de la inmunoterapia moderna contra las enfermedades tumorales.
